After you read about the background and experience of the guys in the band, we hope you feel a bit more familiar with us and learn some personal insights to what makes us tick.
Dan Dixon –Drums
"I used to take my mother’s radio from the kitchen and put it under the covers so I could listen to WLAC- AM, from Gallatin TN. late at night. It was all blues and gospel from midnight to dawn , “ I liked that real soulful stuff . “ Dan’s credits include playing on the road and in the studio with Atlantic Recording Artist, Walter “Lightning Bug” Rhodes , and blues legend, Nappy Brown ( the Night Time is the Right Time). Dan also performed with Skeeter Brandon & Hwy 61 traveling the east coast and Europe. Dan also plays occasionally with the Polar Bear Blues Band. “ I’ve been with Mirage for about three years now and this band has the best vocal arrangements I’ve ever worked with…plus I get to be with my old friends.”
Carey Paterson -Electric guitar and vocals.
“Over the past 30 years, I think I’ve played with most of the Beach and Blues bands in the southeast “ says Carey only half joking. Carey toured for five years with Beach Music icon, Maurice Williams & The Zodiacs. He has backed up many of the legends including The Tams, The Coasters, the Platters and local legend Buddy Skipper as a member of The Jetty Jumpers. Carery’s own band Axcent toured the South for over 10 years. One thing is for sure, he‘s a seasoned pro and…..he’s still got it!

Rocky Rochelle-Bass guitar and vocals
“I’ve been fortunate in my life, sharing my music with everyone. “ Rocky started playing professionally in 1966 with Wilmington based band SPIRIT WHEEL. His consistency, vocal ability and great sense of timing has kept Rocky in demand. He has played with some of the areas best bands including New Knot Hole Review, The Ethics, Rich Nites, and Mirage. He also spent 6 years traveling the Southeast and beyond with a real contender group…..Airtight. “ I really love playing my bass and singing and hope to see all of you soon.”
